Supervised all cost estimates, price calculations and sensitivity analyses for tenders

Was in charge to implement project controls processes on all new projects : cost control, margin and cash forecasts, planning and progress monitoring, risk and opportunity analysis

Alstom Power Hydro
Project Director

Successively directed five turnkey hydro power plant projects in Indonesia, Viet Nam, South Korea and China for a cumulated capacity of 2,500 MW and value of 500 M$

Was accountable to top management for the financial and contractual performance of each project : budget variations, gross margin at completion, net cash, progress, disputes.

Was responsible to conduct the complete project process : basic design, detail design, external procurement, in-house manufacturing, site erection, commissioning

For a major German rail transport group, having acquired a French supplier of turnkey metro and tramway systems: performed market and product strategic analyses, delivered the business case and conducted the integration process.

For a leading French electricity provider : performed a strategic analysis of nuclear energy development perspectives.

For a French, a British, and a German aerospace and electronics group: developed their merger strategy for their common activities; wrote the business case.

1992 - 1996

Alstom Power - Thermal Division
Site Construction Manager

Was in charge of the erection, installation, tests and pre-commissioning of the mechanical scope for all five units

Managed the associated sub-contracts (20 MA* value) and coordinated the sub-contractors SOUSSE POWER PLANT - Tunisia - 1 x 300 MW combined cycle

Site Engineer

Prepared and issued the invitation-to-bid documentation for sub-contracting of the mechanical erection works (specifications, drawings, general conditions)

Negotiated the special conditions with the selected sub-contractors KAWAS POWER PLANT - India - 2 x 300 MW combined cycle

Was in charge to coordinate the local sub-contractors for the construction of all four heat recovery steam generators (boilers)
